Yes, India has approximately 14,500 km of inland waterways because India is surrounded by Arabian Sea, Indian ocean and Bay of Bengal from its three sides. Therefore, there are a large number of ports in India for transportation purposes. Also, it is the cheapest means of transportation in India.
