Question and Answers

- Are you interested in a sport?
Undoubtedly, yes. I love playing indoor as well as outdoor sports, but most of the time prefer outdoor ones, as they induce your physical development along with mental well-being.
-
- (Similar to above) Do you like sport?
Oh, yes. Engaging in sports is my first love. However, I prefer outdoor sports in comparison to indoor sports as they lead to an all-around development which included mental as well as physical. Also, they help to inculcate team spirit and leadership qualities in children.
-
- What sports do you like? (Why?)
Well, my favourite sports are swimming and football. I have been a trained swimmer since my childhood. Consequently, I hit our local community centre in my housing society once in a while to brush up on my swimming skills. Moreover, I also participate and help in organising local football matches that happen in our society as well as in the vicinity.

Oh, there are tonnes of games that are popular in India. Hockey and kabaddi being national sports, enjoy immense popularity. Cricket and football too, are very popular amongst the general population. Some of the regional games popular are, lagori, kho-kho, marbles, etc. The list is endless in a country as diverse as India.

- What benefits do you think sport can bring us?
As per my opinion, children should be taught to play different games and sports, as they help instil some very important life-skills in children. Children, and even adults, can imbibe the quality of coordination, team spirit, and leadership qualities from team sports like cricket, football, hockey, etc. Individual games like chess lead to the development of brain activity and enhance our concentration and strategizing abilities.
