- What kind of exercises do you do?
Well, I do all kinds of exercises to enhance my strength, endurance, concentration and overall fitness. However, I emphasise more on weight loss exercise and yoga as I have weight issues and want to improve my concentration as well.
- Do you think children should play sports regularly?
Definitely. I think sports should be incorporated in the fundamental curriculum of young learners and not ust be a mere extra curricular activity for them. This is because sports can have an immense positive impact on a student’s mind and body which can even assist them in performing better academically.
- What was the favourite sport when you were young?
Oh, that would definitely be swimming. As I am a trained swimmer, I used to go swimming almost daily after school. But as I grew old and professional commitments started occupying more prominence in my schedule, I started to go swimming just once in a week at our society club.
- Do you like extreme sports?
Yes, I do. Infact, I have even done skydiving, parasailing, scuba diving and Bungee jumping. Having said that, drawing on my past experiences, scuba diving would be my favourite.
- What kind of exercises are popular in your country?
There are plenty of them. I guess, the most popular of them all would be Yoga. It is practiced in all the states of India in modified forms. Other sports that are popular vary from state to state or region to region.
