Well, young children get attracted to new things because of their nature. They are always curious to play with new types of toys and electronic gadgets. Then, they are attracted to electronics because these devices contain colours and graphics, which look amazing to them.
2. Why do some grown-ups hate to throw out old things (such as clothes)?
Well, grown-ups don’t like to throw away old things because many memories are attracted to them. We feel that if they throw out their old things, they would lose something important. For example, my father has a handmade sweater, which was given by my grandmother. Although he does not wear it these days. he still keeps it in his almirah.
3. Is the way people buy things affected? How?
Definitely, individuals’ way of purchasing goods have changed a lot over the years. These days, people prefer to buy things online, which was not the case in the past. Moreover, nowadays, they can easily replace their old products with the new ones, because they are triggered to do so by advertising companies.
4. What do you think influences people to buy new things?
I would say there are a lot of things that encourage people to purchase new items. People buy new things due to the influence of advertisements. Then, they purchase new products in order to upgrade themselves, so they can get a sense of accomplishment. Finally, they buy new items in order to show off to others.
