How you felt about waiting in this long queue or line.
Well, to begin with, waiting in long queues to get something done is typical in India. I suppose, there is nobody in India who hasn’t gone through the hassle. Similarly, it has happened to me also a lot of times. However, one experience which was very exhausting in particular, was when I went to upgrade information registered with my Aadhar card.
If I am not mistaken, it happened around last month. I had bought a new cell phone with a sim card and my contact number had changed. Since I had to open a new bank account, I was required to submit my Aadhar card with all the updated information. Hence, I visited a local government office in the vicinity to get my Aadhar updated. But as soon as I reached the office, I was baffled at the length of the queue. Supposedly, nobody is spared the ordeal in a crowded city like Mumbai. But as I had the urgency to get the work done, I was left with no other alternative and had to patiently await my turn.
Wildly guessing, there were around 25-30 people standing ahead of me in the line. Seeing such a crowd in front of me was daunting. However, having my mobile phone and headphones with me was a great relief, as I could kill time by playing games and listening to music. Although it was a tiresome experience, it felt great when I finally got my work done.
