You are working in an English speaking country. Recently, you have learned that a person who lives near your home can offer English lessons.
Write a letter to this person. In this letter,
- Tell him/her how you got to know about the lesson
- Explain why you are interested in this lesson
- Say when and where you want to have the lesson
Dear Sir,
Greetings! This letter is written to enquire about the English classes that you provide to non-native speakers. My name is Benjamin Stokes from India, and I am working for PayPal at their headquarters in London.
Unfortunately, my English writing and speaking skills are not up to the mark. Thus, many times, the conversation thread is lost by me. One of my colleagues suggested me your name to improve my linguistic skills. Upon his advice, I am looking forward to being your student. Moreover, my current residence is just a few blocks away from your home.
After imparting English language, it would be easier for me to write flawless emails to clients and colleagues without any grammatical errors. In fact, my understanding of this language will be enhanced. As you are a renowned teacher, it would be my privilege to learn from you.
My colleague also told me that you offer individual tuition as well as class tuition. I would instead prefer an individual class at my home. Kindly let me know your free time slots available in morning and evening.
Looking forward to your prompt reply.
Warm regards,
Benjamin Stokes
