It is argued that employers should give more preference to the personality of a person when they are recruiting a new worker over their academic records and work experience. This essay disagrees with this statement because a qualified person has the right skills to do a job and it will enhance the workplace atmosphere.
The primary reason why organisations must hire well-educated workers is that they have professional skillsets that are required for a particular job. This is due to the fact that they have studied in-depth in the college, how to perform their job and it may feasible that people with a good look do not have a knowledge of their work at all. For example, a recent study by Cambridge University found that companies which hire on focusing the academic degrees were more likely to save allocated training budgets because new recruiters were proficient in many skills that were required.
Another reason for hiring only qualified people in the company is that it improves the working conditions. This is because experienced people have earned a lot of knowledge in the past and their error-free methodologies will be profitable to the company in terms of productivity and efficiency. Therefore, it is not a good idea to look at an interviewee’s outer look. To illustrate, I work in a reputed organization and the company prefer an experienced and well-educated employee while hiring a new worker over their personality.
In conclusion, consideration of professional qualities is more important over personal traits because qualified people have skills that are needed for the job and they will improve the workplace environment.
