In many nations, females are opting to work full-time and therefore, it is vital that household chores should be equally distributed by a married couple. This essay agrees with this statement because it distributes the workload of home evenly and this helps to lower conflicts in a family.
Firstly, when married couples are regular employees, sharing household duties reduces the burden of housework on one person. This is because home chores can be completed in less time when two people are performing their duties. As a result, they can calmly complete their household work and can reach the workplace on time. For example, a recent study by Cambridge University found that families in which both partners are working full-time and sharing housework had less chaos in the morning and reached at work on time. However, opponents say that performing home duties is the responsibility of women.
Secondly, the families in which both husband and wife are working have lesser conflict when they both help each other doing household work. When both husband and wife contribute to household work, no one raises complaints that one is doing more work as compared to another. This leads to having a happy family and a prosperous life. To illustrate, my wife is a working woman and I help her by cleaning the house floors while she prepares breakfast in the kitchen. Due to this, we never had a fight due to household works.
In conclusion, it is a good initiative to help partner in homework because it reduces the pressure of performing household duties individually and it lowers the chances of conflict in the family.
