Where you saw it
-
Explain why it is interesting
Now, that’s a very engaging topic as I have always found marine life to be very alluring. There are some very interesting bunch of species out there. Anyway, the one animal which I find very captivating is the reptilian king crocodile.
From what I know, crocodiles are large reptile animals that are endemic to freshwater, lakes, rivers, and brackish waters. They can be sized between 5-18ft in length, whereas their weights can rocket up to 2000 pounds in accordance with their natural habitat. They have huge scales on their thick-skinned body coupled with one of the most dangerous jaws in the world having one of the most powerful bite forces in the animal kingdom.
I was lucky enough to have a chance encounter with the crocodile when I was on an adventurous trip to the Sunderbans in the Ganga Delta region. It was a saltwater crocodile, apparently belonging to one of the largest of all the living reptile species. It was an alpha male with protruding and hard scaly formations all over its body. His teeth seemed to be so large and razor-sharp that they could scare off even the bravest of people. Moreover, all of the animals were in their natural habitat, out in the open with full freedom and we were supposed to see them from a distance in our protected jeep. Despite that, some people got terrified the moment the crocodile grunted with his full energy.
However, as I have always been a great admirer of animals and their distinctiveness, I found the crocodiles to be very fascinating and would love to go and watch them again.
