WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.

Well, there are a lot of people whom I admire, but one famous personality who happens to be my personal favourite is Mr. Narendra Modi. He is the current prime minister of India. Also, he is the first prime minister to be born in independent India.
To begin with, he has been the Chief Minister of the Indian state of Gujarat for 13 years and at present represents the constituency of Varanasi in the Lower House of Indian Parliament. I revere him as his life is a classic example of how a poor small town boy can scale new heights to one day lead India with sheer determination and grit. He used to sell tea as a child prior to his stint in politics due to the financial crunch that his family faced. Thereafter, he left his house at a young age to become a monk before joining active politics.
Since then, I hold him in great respect for his hard work, charismatic style of governing and risk taking abilities. Moreover, some of his initiatives like Swacch Bharat Abhiyan, Make in India,etc are worth applauding. Also, his other programs like Mann ki Baat and Pariksha pe Charcha make him seem very approachable and humane, in turn making him one of the most popular and respected leaders across. However, one quality of his that I find worth idolising is “practice what you preach”. For instance, he not only promotes Yoga through International Yoga Day, but also practices it himself, daily.
So, I think he’s a great role model and I do aspire to meet him once in person and learn from him.
