You have seen an advertisement from a couple, who live in Australia, for someone to teach their two children your language for a year.
Write a letter to the couple. In your letter
- Explain why you think you would be suitable for the job
- Say what else you could do for the family
- Give your reasons for wanting the job
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter in regard to the advert that you gave in Times Now Magazine to hire a foreign language instructor to teach Spanish to your offspring.
I am Mike Smith, and I am a postgraduate student here at the University of Sydney. I am from Spain, and I have a good command of Spanish literature. I did a course in early child development in my home country.
Apart from teaching the Spanish language, I am a good cook too. I can make delicious dishes that your children would definitely enjoy eating. Also, while you are out, looking after your kids would be my responsibility.
After college classes, I have plenty of free time, and I have no friends here and therefore, I get bore at my apartment. I want to engage myself with some work to socialise, and this will also help me to earn some pocket money as well.
I am looking forward to an affirmative response.
Yours faithfully,
Mike Smith.
