You have bought an airline ticket, but for some reason, you will not be able to travel on the day scheduled.
Write a letter to the airline company:
- Providing the details of your flight,
- Explaining the situation, reasons why you cannot travel,
- Saying what you expect the airline company do too.
Dear Manager,
Greetings! This letter is being written to request a refund of fare having airfare ticket no BX12345, scheduled to travel on 25th Sept from New Delhi to London at 2:00 PM.
To the dismay, my mother had a serious heart attack yesterday morning due to which I have to cancel the my to London. All meetings that were fixed the nearby areas of London have been cancelled. As being the only child of my parents, I obliged to look after them, and their wellbeing. Moreover, doctors advised one month rest to my mother. Therefore, it is better to stay with parents in this difficult situation.
Currently, all meetings have been cancelled and no new dates have been fixed. Therefore, it is the best option to cancel the ticket and if possible to get a refund. Otherwise, kindly suggest me other viable solution.
Looking forward to your prompt action regarding this matter.
Warm greetings,
Benjamin Stokes.
