You are working in a company. You would like to join a training course related to your work. Write a letter to your employer.
In your letter:-
– describe what course you would like to do
– how this course might help in your work
– suggest a suitable time for you to do this course
Dear Manager,
I am writing this letter to share details of a course on Server Administration which I would like to join.
I am John Smith working as a senior developer from last 5 years. This course is about teaching how to set up websites on virtual web servers. As per the advertisement, this course can be completed in 30 days and in-depth knowledge will be provided to all aspirants.
During the development of programs, there are many things which I have to ask from our system administrator to perform on the server-side, such as the installation of new software, upgrading software to the latest version. This wastes a lot of time when our system administrator is busy with his work.
There are three batches in a day to attend classes. I am thinking to join 5:00 PM batch starting next month because, in the morning, classes start at 10:00 AM, and this would conflict with working hours. Therefore, I request you to allow me to leave the office at 4:30 PM for a month.
I am looking forward to your positive reply.
Yours faithfully,
John Smith.
