Some of the methods used in advertising are unethical and unacceptable in today’s world.
Do you agree or disagree?
In the world of consumerism, unethical and unacceptable advertising methods should be banned in today’s society. This essay completely agrees with this viewpoint because many ads sway kids with their attractive products, and techniques to promote clothes should be acceptable.
The primary reason for this is that some advertising campaigns influence children to sell their items. This is because promotion campaigns especially target young ones to promote their products, such as chocolates, sweet drinks and even snacks. Kids, who are vulnerable in this regard, force their parents to provide them with these items without even considering the harms of these products on their health. For example, a famous ad of ‘ProteinX’ in India claims to have a sufficient amount of protein for a child’s daily requirement. But it, actually, contains more sugar, which only provides energy.
Another reason is that clothing brands sway people with their advertising techniques. This is to say that apparel campaigns show sexy models and the luxurious lifestyle in their adverts in order to attract millions of potential customers. As a result, individuals lavishly expend on these branded clothes in order to relish the same rich lifestyle. For instance, Armani and Prada brands show sexy girls and luxury cars and claim that propel will be only happy if they wear their clothes, which influence many people the world over.
In conclusion, promoting goods in an unethical way should not be acceptable in today’s world because advertisements attract children to buy products and clothing campaigns sway people with their techniques.
