WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.
Talk about something that you borrowed from your friend
- What was it
- When did you borrow
- Whom you borrowed it from
- What you did with it
- Why you borrowed it
Sample Answer:
Well, my friends are quite generous and they are open to sharing their belongings. Therefore, this rule applies to me as well and I give things they need when they want. I remember, a couple of years back, I decided to go on a tour with my family and I know that this is going to be a wonderful trip to the hill station. My friend ….. had a digital camera who bought it recently. I was not sure that he would handover such a precious item to me. I asked him to take his camera with hesitation. He instantly gave that to me. I thanked him and came back home. On the very next day, I went to ____ with my family. We went stopped at numerous picturesque places and took photographs. We are also made photos with the camera. I was able to capture the best moments of life. When I arrived home, I copied all the photographs on my laptop, and I saw that all of the photographs were top notch. When I went back to return it, I also showed pictures to my best mate and thanked him for this generosity.
