- Well, celebrating important events allows people to share their happy moments with others and gives them the opportunity to have a get together.
- Here, I would like to talk about one very special event that I celebrated a few months back, which was my nephew’s birthday,

- Last January, I organized a small party to celebrate his 5th birthday because he is very close to my heart.
- It was a surprise birthday party that I arranged at home.

- He and his friends also danced together on musical beats, which was really fun.
- I captured some photos and videos on my mobile, which I then shared on my social media account.
- So, this was time special occasion that I recently celebrated.

- How do people in your country celebrate events?
Well, it’s a matter of individual choice. Some people like to celebrate events with their near and dear ones, so they arrange get-togethers. Then, some prefer to do some kind of charitable work by helping poor people, rather than spending money on celebrations.
- What events do Indian people like to celebrate?
People in India celebrate all kinds of events. Almost everyone likes to celebrate festivals, like holi, diwali, raksha bandhan, etc, because these are very popular events in India. Moreover, people also celebrate weddings, anniversaries, engagements and even retirements, because they achieve a milestone in their lives. Also, some like to celebrate when they pass important exams or get a new job.
- Why do you think celebration is important?
I would say celebrations help people to spend some quality time with their loved ones, which strengthens their relationships. Also, people get some time off, which assists them mitigate their stress.
- Do you prefer big or small celebrations?
I personally like to celebrate small events because we can enjoy more of these types of events. We get enough time to interact with the guests, which might not be the case with big celebrations. Moreover, arranging big events requires more funds, which I consider a waste of money.
- Why do some people like expensive and grand celebrations?
I believe some people arrange expensive and grand events because they may want to show their status to everyone in society. For example, some people in India like to arrange big-fat weddings to show off their richness.
