Question and Answers :
- Do you live in a house or flat? Or What kind of housing/accommodation do you live in?
I reside in a flat. It is a typical accommodation in a residential housing society comprising 5 buildings adjacent to one another.
- Please describe it a little.
It is a quintessential 3BHK flat with one bedroom as a master bedroom. However, it is quite spacious for a place like Mumbai. Also, it looks exemplary as the interiors are done by my mother who has an excellent taste in design.
- What’s your favorite room in your home?
To pick one, I would say that my bedroom is my favorite space in my home. I love spending time there, as it constitutes a study area where I can study and work comfortably.
- What have you done to your room to make it look nice?
My room has undergone some amazing modifications suiting my personal preferences. To be precise, I have added a large aquarium with a lot of colorful fishes, making the study area look enchanting. Above all, the addition of a big waterfall adhered to the wall near the aquarium is a cherry on the cake.
- Who do you live with?
I live with my mother and siblings, two elder sisters and a younger brother. Also, I do have my first cousins and my relatives visiting us often.
- Which room does your family spend most of the time in?
We spend an enormous amount of time in the living area, just watching television or having a long talk after a taxing day. Since, the dining area is also in it, we also have our daily meals there.
- How long have you lived there?
I was born there. So, I have pretty much lived my entire life in the same house. It is also the same house where my parents got married and my siblings were born.
- Do you plan to live there for a long time?
Actually, it’s not decided yet. It depends on where I get my next job and where life takes me next. As, these days it’s a common practice to find different accommodations in accordance with the location of the workplace.
- (If you answer you haven’t lived there long) What’s the difference between where you are living now and where you have lived in the past?
Drawing comparisons, I can say that this place is quite roomy and comfortable. Not only is it a stone’s throw away from my workplace, but also the transport facilities are commendable which makes it easy to commute from here.
- What do you usually do in your house/flat/room?
I usually spend my time studying or working in the study space of my bedroom. Other than that, I spend a lot of time in the living room, dining and chit-chatting with my siblings. All of us also spend time together in the kitchen on weekends with our mother, trying our hands at cooking different cuisines
- Are the transport facilities to your home very good?
The transport facilities are excellent, as my place is in close proximity to the railway station and bus stand. There are ample amounts of buses running to and fro from my house to the bus stand. Also, the frequency of auto rickshaws is good, proving to be a boon for people for people travelling short distances.
- Do you plan to move?
Currently, I have no such plans as this place is very close to my work. As a result, it saves me the hassle of commuting long and tiring distances to work unlike many people who are forced to do so.
- Would you like to move to another place to live? (Why/why not?)
Yes, I would very much like to move to a new place and I am actively looking for accommodation as I have recently switched jobs. So, it would be a great idea to find a good place to stay near my office.
- Are you prepared to move?
Yes, I am very much prepared to move as this place is far off from the place I work. It takes away a lot of my time and energy commuting to my workplace which adversely affects my work. So, I do have plans to switch accommodation.
