WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.
Describe one of your family members you spend the most time with
- Who is he/she?
- What do you usually do together?
- What kind of person he/she is?
- Why you spend most of the time with him/her?
Sample Answer:
Well, I am the type of person who likes to spend time with family. There are five people in my family. I consider myself very fortunate that I live in a joint family. I spend most of my leisure time with my wife.
When I am with her, I like to share my career plans. She also shares with me the family matters with me. When I have long vacations, I go with her somewhere hill station so that we can enjoy together.
She is a very humble and thoughtful person. She takes care of everyone in my family. She is optimistic and the ray of sunshine in my life. She has sacrificed a lot and had never complained about anything to me.
She is the one person in my family with whom I can share my interests, my career plans and even secrets of my life, in fact, anything at all. Whenever I am down, she gives me encouragement that I need to move on. Actually, she is a role model for me and I always admire her. She constantly reminds me that I have to try my best to achieve my goals
