WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.
Describe an experience you had as a member of a team
- What it was?
- Who were the members of the team?
- What role did you play in this team?
- And explain how you achieved your goal?
Well, I like to work in a team. During my colleges days, I had to work on a number of projects which were the part of the course. I would like to share my experience of a final year project, that I had to submit by the end of the term.
There were four people on the team. Mike, John, Harry, and me. We were all friends during college days. We took permission from our class teacher to submit the project together this is because we had a great understanding of each other and also, students were allowed to work in a team.
After a long discussion, we had finalized that we were going to build a model of an electric vehicle. There were numerous tasks that we needed to do. Therefore, we assigned job responsibility to each one. I was proficient in designing, therefore, I challenged myself to build a concept model in software.
It was quite tiring because we were not able to find the products in the market that we required to build this machine. The main reason I think behind this is that we didn’t know the place where the material was available. In the end, we made a working model. Though it was criticized by many because the design was not appealing at all. Even It was my work I have to admit it that the design was not good. However, it was accepted by the project coordinator and we passed graduation with flying colours.
