WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.
Describe an ambition that you have for a long time
You should say
- What is it
- What you did for it
- When can you achieve it
- And explain why you have this ambition
I dreamt of many ambitions for myself. Some of them I have turned them into reality and some are still unaccomplished. Nowadays, Life is very busy and it is very hard to put dedicated efforts to focus and achieve set goals.
Here I would like to take about opening my business which I dreamt during college days. During the study, I always wanted to become an entrepreneur. However, my dream didn’t come true because I opted to join a company. I was pressurised from all people around me that running a business is not an easy task and requires a lot of financial resources. Therefore, I started working as an employee.
However, my dream to start a business was sitting aside in my mind. I saved a good amount of money from the salary. I diligently prepared a plan to how to start a successful venture. Last year, I finalised to open my own web agency and made all arrangements of money and other required resources. I thought to open it in the month of April 2020. This COVID-19 disease spreading all around the world and lockdown in my country shattered my all plans to open this venture. I had to abandon my plan. Because it was to a wise decision to start any sort of work when the economy is destroyed. I am thinking to start my venture next year if all things start stabilizing.
So, this was my dream and I have to still wait to become it reality.
