WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.

Today, we are surrounded by electronics gadgets. Computers became our integral part of our life. Therefore, when these gadgets stop working, our lives come to a screeching halt.
Last month, I came across a similar situation where my laptop stopped functioning. It so happened that I was working from home during those days. As late-night work is common in the architectural profession, I was preparing some designs which were supposed to be presented to my clients the following day. As I was working while lying down on the bed, I didn’t realise when I dozed off.
To my horror, I found the laptop lying on the floor on waking up the next morning. On careful introspection, I noticed a huge crack on the screen. I tried to switch on the device but to no avail. All I could see was a couple of lines appearing on the screen. I got scared as the laptop was just 3 months old.
Nevertheless, I visited the service center to check if the damage is repairable. Luckily, the damage could be undone with the minimal cost of 2000 rs. So, I got it done, and only then could muster the courage to confess about it to my parents. Although they were disappointed at first, I was let off with just a warning that I should be more cautious in the future.
