Oh, I am a very big wildlife enthusiast. As a result, I keep on campaigning to different zoos and wildlife sanctuaries. Due to this, I have gotten glimpses of lots of wild animals. However, one experience which was both thrilling and scary at the same time was when I had visited the Famous Gir Forest National Park and came across the majestic White Lions.
Being a massive animal lover, I don’t believe in caging animals for human enjoyment and cheer. So, I embarked on the Gir Jungle Trail, where people are made to board jeeps protected by strong meshes made of metal and the animals are free in their natural habitat. It so happened that during the journey, I came across my favourite animal, a pride of lions consisting of about 4 adults and 6 juveniles. The ruling male of the pride was the white lion I am talking about. As the jeep was surpassing the pride from a very close distance, the pride fell endangered and the while male became protective and punched on our jeep, where I was the nearest to him as opposed to other people in the jeep.
As he pounced on the jeep, the driver stopped the vehicle for a short period as he kept on ambushing it with his claws resulting in the jeep to shake vigorously. As he was practically targeting me with his big craws and scary jaws, I could witness the royalty that he was. He had a big pitch white colored mane hanging from his flawless white body. His claws were razor sharp and could tear almost anything. He was so close that I could even feel some of his breadth on my face. Nevertheless, having come across a lot of wild animals, I felt euphoric instead of getting scared and understood why the Gir forest is a heaven that it is.
So, this was one of the most wonderful experiences of my life and I would love to undertake a journey to Gir once again.
