WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.

Truthfulness plays an integral role in forging and maintaining relationships, especially the personal ones. On the contrary, mistrust and deceit take just about a second to break them. On these lines, there is an incident that happened with me during my school days, when I hid a very important truth from my best friend. His name is Neel and we both studied in the same class during our school days.
Back in those days, we both were each other’s biggest competitors, as far as academics were concerned. This incident occurred when we were in our 10th standard. It so happened that once he had told on me during one of the lectures, due to which I was sent outside the class as a punishment. After this incident, I wanted to get back at him with full vengeance.
Once, I saw him talking to his friend during one of our preliminary exams. So, I hastily concluded that he might be cheating in the exam and informed the invigilator about the same. However, I later came to know that he was just asking for an eraser or some stationery from his friend. Regardless, he got suspended from the exams after that instance and failed in the prelims as a result. Although he had no idea that, it was me who informed the examiner about the cheating, I, myself, went and told him, as I was feeling extremely guilty that someone had lost out on such a significant exam, that too, because of my misunderstanding. Surprisingly, he understood my point of view and took it really well. This confession of mine in front of him really broke the ice between us. It made both of us realize the positive aspects of each other’s personalities. For instance, me being honest and courageous enough to accept my folly and him being understanding enough to not judge me based on this silly mistake of mine.
