WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.

Well, as reading books is my favorite pastime, I have been an avid reader and a big fan of books, journals, and informative magazines since my childhood. Hence, the most important thing that I bought which is also very close to my heart is a big and fully illustrated Oxford dictionary consisting of around 1000 pages.
This story goes way back when I was a kid studying in 6th grade. Actually, on my 12th birthday, a salesman came to our house to publicize and sell some books for children. However, while he was conversing with me and my mother, me being a curious child came across that dictionary in his bag which was intended for older students. Nonetheless, I pestered my mother to buy it for me, as I was very fascinated with the illustrations in that voluminous book which wouldn’t even fit in my little hand. After that, I used to read it almost daily and go through those amazing pictures, and I must say, it really helped me improve my vocabulary and diction. In addition, I used it for years to enhance all of my school and college projects as well. It really helped me cultivate a keen interest in the English language and Life Sciences.
Not to mention, as it was the first book that I had bought on my birthday, it remains my most treasured possession to date. I still remember how thrilled I was when my mother agreed to buy me that book. So, that book is my favorite purchase as it reminds me of my childhood and makes me feel delighted like a little kid even now.
