WHAT IS A CUE CARD?
In the IELTS speaking test, the candidate is required to speak on a topic for about 1 to 2 minutes. The pattern of IELTS exam is designed to check the understanding level of English. The important thing to keep in mind that the topic given in IELTS speaking test cannot be changed. With the speaking topic, 3 to 4 cues are provided which helps candidates to answer the question to the point.

- When it was
- What you did
- And explain why you think it was a waste of time
Well, time is quite precious and no one likes to waste the time. I am not an exception here. A few times I have also wasted my precious time. A few months back, I won two movie tickets. I was not able to find a suitable time to watch a movie at the cinema. Last week, I took some time out of my hectic schedule and went to watch a Bollywood movie with my friend. Before I plan to watch any movie, I do read critics so that my time is not wasted. However, I was in a hurry this time, and I booked movie tickets. When the movie started I could not understand the story and all things in the movie seemed rubbish. All comedy scenes were illogical. The storyline of the movie was also very bad. It seemed that actors did not perform at their best. It was very difficult to sit down in the movie theatre. My friend insisted me to watch this movie till the end. I got a sigh of relief at the end of the movie. It was a huge waste of time. Instead of watching a film, I might have gone for shopping or had fun with friends. So, this was the time when I wasted my time.
