Write a letter to the local council about the closure of the playground and explain
– why so few children are using the playground
– how to increase the number of children using the playground
– why this is important
Dear Sir or Madam,
Greetings! With much disappointment, this letter is written exclusively to raise the voice against demolishing the sports ground in Model Town.
Yesterday, a notice was published in the local newspaper mentioning the closure of playground. Undoubtedly, the strength of children playing in the ground has been decreasing because parents are pushed hard to do well in academic study.
Sports competitions can be organised in the playground so that children feel motivated to participate. Moreover, awareness campaigns should be organised to teach the benefits of playing physically demanding sports.
Playing grounds are an essential part of a society where people can meet and play together. Apart from children, the ground is also used by young people for running and spending leisure time there. Most of the people living in the vicinity firmly oppose the idea to close the park. I hope you would reconsider the decision; otherwise, people would protest to safeguard public space.
Looking forward to your affirmative reply.
Warm regards
Benjamin Stokes
