It is argued that by opting a professional educational program in teaching, anyone can become a teacher, while others say that it is utterly incorrect and a course can help people to become a top-class teacher. While in educational imparting programs special skills are taught to teach in the class, I believe that it is not possible as everyone has different strengths and weaknesses.
On the one hand, the supporters of the prior viewpoint say that in teaching specific courses people are taught about the things that are required to teach in the class. This is to say that effective methodologies are taught which helps them to deliver their lectures in an excellent way. For example, a recent study by Cambridge University found that 40% of teachers who pursued in such programs admitted that these courses helped them to effectively teach in the class. However, I do not agree with this school of thought because of the reason elucidated below.
On the other hand, the advocates of the prior viewpoint opine that everyone has different traits. There is no assurance that by taking such courses someone will be able to impart their knowledge at their best because teaching requires a dedication to acquire knowledge from different sources and then explain that in the class. To illustrate, I am not able to teach anyone even I joined a course to become a good teacher, however, I can do other types work quite efficiently. Therefore, I believe this school of thought is preferable.
In conclusion, although special programs that teach people teaching skills can give tips on how to deliver their knowledge, I think people should have to focus on things in which they can excel.
