Some people believe school children should be given multiple short vacations while others believe they should get one long vacation.
Give advantages of both and your point of view.
It is argued that pupils should be given holidays in parts all around the years, while others say that it would be better to give one long break from their study. The primary advantage of having a long vacation is that they can go out with their families and as far as short vacations are concerned these can engage teenagers to their academic work.
The main advantage of a long vacation is teenagers would have enough time to be able to enjoy with their families. This is because their parents can take then to a foreign country where they can experience a new culture and take themselves away from the stress of study. This actually helps children to enjoy their life. For example, a recent study by Cambridge University found that schoolchildren who were given a long holiday from study went out with their families and when they came back they were much happy and able to concentrate on their study much better.
I think that a number of short breaks from the study should be given in a year. This will enable children to stay in touch with the study. This is because if the children lose interest in their study, this would be quite difficult for them to concentrate again on their school work. These short breaks will result in pupils will stay in touch with books all around the year. To illustrate, I studied in a school where short breaks from studies were given and this allowed all students to get involved in their school books throughout the year.
In conclusion, although during a long vacation teenagers can go out with their parents, I think that short breaks during a year will enable children to be in touch with their studies.
