School teachers are more responsible for the social and intellectual development of students than parents.
To what extent do you agree or disagree?
It is argued that teachers of school ought to have more responsibility for the social and intellectual development of pupils than their mothers and fathers. This essay agrees with this statement because children follow instructions of their educators cautiously and teachers have acquired trainings about how to develop children intellectually.
Firstly, children are in a close touch with their teacher, therefore, they obey their teacher’s guidance. This is because teachers opt different teachniques to teach students about the importance of social skills by doing practical activities in the classroom. Therefore, such activities help children to instill manners in their day to day life. For example, a recent study by Cambridge University found that children who follow instructions of their educators are more socially active as compared to other children.
Secondly, teachers are skilled professionals and this makes them more responsbile for the children’s development. The professional training that they have acquired in the development of children enables them to have an upper hand over parents to impart intellectual skills to children. In contrast, few parents attend schools which teach them to look after their offspring. To illustrate, my daughter is 4 years old and I saw a drastic change in her thinking ability when she started her school.
In conclusion, school educators have more responsibility for the overall development of children because children listen to the advice of their teachers more seriously and schools recruit people who have earned a professional qualification to teach children.
