With the advent of the latest technologies, skilled workers in organisations are being replaced with machines. The main problem this cause is the skilled workforce being expelled companies which makes people unemployed and the most viable solution is to learn using the latest machines in the industry.
The primary problem associated with this trend is that this increases unemployment in the world. This is because a single machine can perform different tasks and only one worker can handle a large machine. Therefore, extra workers are relieved from the workplace on the introduction of new machines. To illustrate, previously, in mechanical industry, to make a single machine part multiple workers were required, however, these days only one machine, named Computer Numeric Control machine, can perform all tasks by itself.
To tackle this problem, people should upgrade themselves. They should keep them aware of the latest advancements in the industry and learn how to operate these machines before they are introduced at their workplace. This would help them to retain their job and therefore, unemployment due to inefficiency to operate machines can be curbed. For example, a recent study by Cambridge University found that in an organisation where employees kept themselves up to date with latest advancements in the industry were more likely to stay in the company than who did not.
