Inform the bank manager in a letter about the fact that you cannot go to an agreed meeting.
You should cover the following:
- inform and apologize
- describe the reason for your absence
- propose new time
Dear Manager,
With much disappointment, this letter is written to express an apology for the inability to attend an official meeting that is scheduled for 10th, November at the Park Plaza at 11:00 AM.
Unfortunately, I received a call from father that my mother is sick from the last few days and therefore, I rushed to my native village. Being the only child of my parents, I am obliged to shoulder the responsibility of my parents to look after them. The doctor advised her bed to rest for 15 days, and I want to spend some time with my mother.
I am hopeful that I will be back to Chandigarh by 20th November. A couple of days would be required to resettle and to report the office and finish the pending work. So, it is a humble request to reschedule the meeting for 24th November at the same time and venue.
