In many countries smoking in now illegal in public places.
Do you agree or disagree?
Having cigarettes in public places has been completely banned in many states. This essay totally agrees with this idea because of the danger of this to other people’s health, and it can be an effective way to decrease the number of cigarettes has been burnt each day.
Making smoking unethical at city centres and stations is the best way to limit the effect of this to other humans’ health who are around smokers. This is to say that men and women who do not smoke inhale toxic fumes just because someone smoking around them. This leads people, not only smokers but also non-smokers, to suffer from dangerous diseases such as cancer and lung failure. For instance, it is reported by the World Health Organisation that 2-3 % non-smoker people all over the world each year affected just by smoking at crowded places.
Another reason why banning smoking is good perception because it can be an effective way to diminish the number of cigarettes used per day. Not allowing smoking in public will deter chain-smokers from having fewer cigarettes every day because they would not find a smoking zone each time they want to have some. For example, conducting a survey amongst people, The Times magazine found that there is a 20% decrease in smoking in India since smoking prohibited in public places.
In conclusion, the smoking ban in public places in many nations is a good strategy because it will lower down the effect of it on non-smokers and the total cigarettes burnt each day.
