Everyone should become vegetarian because they do not need to eat meat to have a healthy diet.
Do you agree or disagree?
It is argued that in order to get nutritious food, people should not eat non-vegetarian diet. This essay disagrees with this notion and will discuss this in forthcoming paragraphs before drawing a logical conclusion.
Firstly, nutrients that are found in beef and pork cannot be obtained from a vegetarian diet, especially from fruits and vegetables. This is to say that meat is a rich source of animal proteins and amino acids and to have these, people cannot solely rely on vegetarian food. Therefore, a non-vegetarian diet is an essential part of our daily intake. For instance, in a recent study, the WHO found a deficiency of nutrients among people who are vegetarian.
Secondly, it is unquestionable that not everyone from the world can depend wholly upon the green flood. This is because there are some professions like wrestling and boxing where daily calories needed are much higher as compared to the other people, and this amount of energy can only be taken from a diet based on meat. Therefore, relying totally upon vegetation for food is not possible for all. For example, a fish contains ten times more amino acids as compared to 50 grams of almonds.
In conclusion, people from the world over cannot derive all nutrients from a plant-based diet and also in some sports, professionals need more energy which can only be taken from the non-vegetarian diet.
