Films and computer games which contain violence are very popular. Some believe they have a negative effect on society and so should be banned. Other people, however, say that they are just harmless and help people to relax.
Discuss both these points of view and give your own opinion.
The most famous movies and electronic games include severe violent scenes. Many argue that such types of entertainment genre have to be forbidden from the public because of the dangerous effect on people. On the other hand, counterparts defend their view by arguing that these things are for entertainment. I opine that the game sets or movies which promote violence must be banned however, both sides of the argument will be discussed in following paragraphs.
The supporters of the action genre argue that they must have the freedom to watch movies or play games which they like the most. This is because these are not hurting anyone and do not compel to harming real life. Thus, banning such types of entertainment medium is not a good idea. For instance, one of my friends is very fond of watching action movies, and he says that he feels relaxed and his whole day’s stress is relieved by watching violent movies. However, this is not true in all cases.
On the other hand, violent scenes in movies or games can change the mindset of individuals and can encourage them to repeat film scenes in real life. This is because such a portion of films are so influential that people like to imitate such actions in their life. As a result, they become very dangerous for the community and can hurt anyone. The recent attack on a Mosque in New Zealand by s white supremacy supporter admitted that he tried to play the actions in real which he played in a violent game. Thus, it is clearly evident that such things are dangerous for the community.
In conclusion, I affirm my opinion on banning violent genre movies or games because it can affect adversely to society as it can change the mind of an individual.
