It is often argued that pupils get influenced socially and intellectually from their teachers than parents. This essay completely agrees with this viewpoint because tutors impart knowledge amongst school children, and teachers also encourage them to take part in physical activities.
The primary reason for this is that school-goers acquire education from their mentors at school. This is to say that school students learn multiple subjects, such as math, science and languages from their school teachers, which significantly help them formulate cognitive ability. As a result, pupils become intelligent to be able to perform diverse tasks. For instance, Cambridge University recently found that students who spent more time at school with their teachers were 62% more intelligent than those who did not.
Another reason is that school children develop social skills by involving in extra-curricular activities. This is because if students, at school, take part in sports activities, it is more likely that they can learn some crucial skills, like co-operation and teamwork, which are a key attribute of social development. It, therefore, can be said that teachers have a considerable bearing on students’ social development as compared to their father and mother. For example, it is shown in recent research by The Sunday Times that school students who were regularly engaged in games were found to be more co-operative and helpful.
In conclusion, teachers influence school students socially and intellectually more than their parents because teachers have the main contribution to pupils’ education and sports help them in formulating social skills.
