I am basically a very planned person and I take special care to do everything meticulously. However, there is one instance that I recall where in spite of all the planning, I made a blunder of forgetting one of the most crucial things needed for our family trip to Nainital and that was my camera. We had been planning this vacation for almost a year. It was going to be a very special holiday as the entire family was getting together after a long time. Since I have been known to be very dependable amongst my cousins, hence the responsibility of preparing for our much-anticipated trip was entrusted upon me. I began by making a list of all the things that I thought were important to make our holiday memorable. I wanted to capture each and every moment for which I had thought of taking my new Camera along with me. This was a fairly recent purchase but I was yet to put it to good use. I was very excited by the prospect of clicking some nice shots with my camera. As the day of our departure neared, I started packing all the things I had decided to take along. I kept my camera aside to be carried in my handbag as I wanted to click pictures en route to our destination. Finally, after all the wait, it was time to depart. I was pretty certain that I had picked up everything that was important. Well, the journey started and all of us were very happy and looking forward to making some beautiful memories on this trip. Once the initial excitement subsided and we had covered around 2 hours of our journey, I excitedly started to look for my camera to click some pictures. I searched hard but panicked when I couldn’t find it anywhere. After a few minutes of frantic search, I almost broke down when I realized that I had forgotten to pick up my camera. The most important thing that was meant to be carried along was left behind in all the excitement. All my dreams came crashing down in a second as I blamed myself for ruining the entire trip. Everyone consoled me by saying that we had our mobile phones and we could still click some good pictures. But of course, I felt miserable as I thought I had failed everyone. It took me almost two days to overcome my misery and be normal again. Though we managed to get some lovely pictures from our trip but to date I regret not being able to capture those moments with my camera as I had hoped.
